Play Helpers

mdu-no-shadowAre you a budding paediatrician, someone who loves playing around, or a medical student who lives in fear of interacting with anyone below the age of 17?

If you can identify with any of the above then Play Helpers may be the thing for you! Play Helpers is the Oxford Society of Paediatrics’ version of a country-wide scheme in which small groups of medical student volunteers are supported to entertain and interact with children while they wait to be seen at the Day Hospital or in A&E. This helps not only children and parents, who can enjoy relative peace and quiet, but also your competence and confidence with young patients – key skills for success in paediatrics!
