Electives in Paediatrics: An Inside Line From Tanzania

1pm, 28th January in the Paediatrics Seminar Room, Level 2 West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital

Are you interested in working with children on your elective?

Come to Osler house this Thursday lunchtime to hear an engaging talk by Eleanor Duckworth, a foundation doctor based in Oxford, on her personal experiences during an elective in paediatrics based in Tanzania.

This talk will provide an insight into the challenges that those planning a paediatric elective in a low-resource medical setting can expect to face, with a personal touch.

Dr Duckworth is also happy to give people advice on how to go about organising an elective in paediatrics.

If you needed any more persuading, there’ll be snacks & refreshments afterwards!

Directions: Follow the long corridor all the way from the main entrance of the hospital, past the funny paintings of old professors and until it hooks left; the seminar room will be signposted and is just on your left.
